Beach Fun!

Such a lovely day yesterday..... decided to take the guys to the beach for some fun!

It was pretty cold in the sea wind, but as long as we kept moving it was great!

The guys had a fabulous time.... although the tide was coming in, so we were running out of beach pretty fast!

Playing under the Willow tree

After my last attempt thought I would try again today for some 'playing' footage....lol. Tazzy and Molly (now 20 weeks old) didn't disappoint..... got some lovely shots of them playing nicely inside (ouch!)... but decided on this lovely, gentle outside play. They so enjoy running through the Willow branches...

Look out for Molly's hedge dive....lol

The other thing I've noticed....... the guys can be playing really hard, then all of a sudden they stop if they hear something odd.... they then appear as calm and relaxed as if they had been previously sleeping! Strange Danes.....lol.

A very boring video indeed!

Hahaha! Dogs were playing..... thought I would try and video them. Got the camera.... set it up and nooooooo! They had stopped playing and settled.... for the rest of the day too....lol.

Big bro Tazzy & Molly (18 weeks)

Dog training classes are going well (2 hour classes)..... Tazzy is much more relaxed and learning lots of new stuff on his KC silver. He enjoys meeting all the other dogs and is letting strange ladies stroke him.... and no longer is too worried about bouncy dogs as he can now read the play language to a tee....

Tazzy did find it difficult to read one dog..... an excitable standard poodle with long hair. Body language was obscured by the hair which just kept moving......lol. It's so important to socialise with all different breeds, sizes and shapes of dogs. He will learn to read this poodle... but just might take him a little time.

Molly is great too...she sat in on Tazzy's class again and is very relaxed and also enjoys meeting all the new dogs. It's a noisy class..... with a few barking ones.... no problem for Molly... after the first hour she just fell asleep......lol.

Still great together in the car, we are really pleased.

Molly's body and features are starting to change... her head is taking on a more squarer shape and her body is getting longer. At the moment she stands at 23 and a half inches to the shoulder. I will take her to the vets next week to be weighed.

Molly is such a pretty lady.... and certainly knows how to give you those 'puppy eyes'.

Molly and Tazzy having one of their playful sessions... she still has those razor sharp teeth...little monster...!!!

Tazzy
is extremely good with her although sometimes she can still bite that little bit too hard for him. He bites back a little harder.... she will learn. They are great buddies.

Molly with her chew.... sitting, watching carefully for Tazzy.
'It's mine' she says slyly....

Molly has found a safe place to finish her prize possession....lol.

Molly & Tazzy being nosey as usual.... nosey Danes...lol

Molly's (17 weeks) first taste of the sea

We took a trip to Ogmore last weekend..... fantastic beaches as far as the eye could see. Molly had a great time... playing in the shallow waters.... digging up the sand.... chasing kites and balls... and of course - sampling the sea water.

Molly (17 weeks) & the Country Shows

We have been to a few country shows with Molly. We don't get to see that much as it's 1/2 hour walk and at least 1 hour snooze....lol ....or we are stopping every few seconds to chat to someone about Molly. Great socialisation for her..... so many different sights and sounds. Children laughing, other animals, balloons popping, pushchairs, all kinds of wierd and wonderful things. She really does take it all in her stride... and so enjoys all the attention she gets from everyone.

For these long days we take the dog bag..... including her lunch, chews, water & bowls, her bed, plenty of carrier bags....lol Our next show is next
Sunday..... a small country fayre... then I think that's the end of the season.... so.... car boots perhaps... and more walks along the river and through the town?

Molly at the Usk Agricultural Show on Saturday.... she know's what's in her bag...I think she was after her pigs ear...lol

One of her many pit stops...

The end of the day... ready for home!

A while since last posting (Molly 15/17 weeks)

Molly and Tazzy are now really great buddies. They sleep together (as long as Molly doesn't wriggle around too much), play together and now are together in the back of the car for trips out together....

Molly also goes out everywhere with me..... so she's getting used to all kinds of strange sounds, sights and smells. She copes really well and is so laid back..... she takes it all in her stride. She has just started dog training classes - KC bronze a
nd is quite happy in the class. She also sits in on Tazzy's class too..... great socialisation.... again takes it all in her stride.

Tazzy has also been brilliant. We thought he might show some signs of protectiveness towards Molly with other dogs... which may cause him some stress... but no.... he has been fantastic and is happy to greet new dogs with Molly in tow.

This is Molly @ 15 weeks being a goat....lol She loves to climb high an
d walk/sit on platforms.

She even g
ets onto the table but I haven't managed to catch a snap of that yet!

This is again @ 15 weeks.... loads going on outside as we were resurfacing the drive... Nosey Danes..lol

Molly & Tazzy together in the car for the first time

Molly @ 17 weeks and enjoying the back of the car with her big brother. I ordered a nice fleece blanket and topped that with a quilt..... they both seem to enjoy laying on this.

We thought - now she is bigger (not of squashing size) and relaxed about being in the car, it was a good time to get them used to travelling together. Tazzy is relaxed with her.... especially in confined spaces..... Molly is good with her 'shush' and 'down' commands... so nows the time to travel together.

Throughout the day I popped them both in the car for short periods just to get them both used to it.... and to teach Molly that being in the car is all about 'quiet time'.

Then in the evening, off for the short trip to Tazzy's training class..... BRILLIANT! They were both as good as gold in the back together.... and have been ever since.....
